Mount Royal Kantorei brings perennial choral favourite Carmina Burana to the stage of the Jack Singer Concert Hall on March 27. Composed in the 1930s by Carl Orff and based on medieval Latin and German texts, Carmina Burana's themes of love, wealth, gambling and gluttony are as relevant today as they were then. Guest artists Leon Leontaridis, Janet Youngdahl, Gregory Brookes, five percussionists and the Bergmann Piano Duo join Kantorei to perform this choral favourite. Kantorei will also premiere the work by Canadian composer Imant Raminsh, commissioned to commemorate the choir's 15th anniversary.
