since most of the people here have/had a 240 and i have only dealt with 700's, therefore having mostly 700 related parts...i thought i would put out the request if anyone has these things...let me know...we can work something out i am sure

not everything is needed but it would be 'nice to have' sometime in the future

- snow cap/hood scoop deal...old style, single long vent
- GT grille any shape, ie: doesn't need to be zip tied to the car, silver/grey one
- lower Valence, GT style, grey
- upper strut bars, that go to the firewall
- shocks...i think Dupuis might have me covered here :wink:

that's all i can think of right at the moment, as the car needs a hell of a lot more but it wont get it until a few years from now

if anyone in Calgary spots a GT in the wrecker let me know if you could

thanks

ciao

I'm selling my car for parts in 2 to 3 weeks from now, you may want to buy it to part it out. Has GT braces, I also have a set of the GT strut tower reinforcing plates although they need sandblasting & paint.

Also included:
iPd 25mm front, '79 GT 23mm rear sway bars;
iPd HD rear springs;
GT steering wheel;
Black interior (high end, for 4 door of course) except for seats (not GT interior);
Electric windows;
Aftermarket 15x7 alloys (rough shape, autocrossing maybe?);
Center console with seat heater switches and power mirror switches (mirrors manual though);
EDIS coil setup if you want to go MS or other ECM;
High current fuse box & 60 Amp wiring to battery for stereo;
Seat frames have brackets welded underneath for amps to move with seats, seats worn though so you'd have to transfer frame to new seat;
Dog grill for wagon;
Thule roof rack.

Other bits of interest:
GT in-grill fog lights & mounts (cracked lens);
Flat hood w/std flathood grill & headlight surrounds;
Second dog grill with hardware;
'79 GT black air dam, the straight one, not scoop, needs plastic welding to fix.

Why buy? Because I'm moving to the other side of the country and will need my car close to the last day so no time to part out. The price will be cheap.

Springs are for the wagon but I don't remember if there is a difference with the sedan springs.

Dog grill prevents the dog you keep in the back of the wagon from jumping in the passenger seat. Great if you have a wagon, not much use for a sedan unless you keep your dog on the back shelf.

Maybe you can pursuade a friend to buy it and part it out to you? Car is too worn out in my opinion to keep on the road unless you have a particular thing for a rusty brown '80 wagon. B21A engine is worn, SU carb needs work and CNG fuel system gets pulled as the important bits belong to the company.

I can get pics but it'll be a couple of days.

Some pictures here:

http://www3.telus.net/public/rtmg/

Flash really highlights the white corrosion making its way underneath the clear coat on the wheels. That will need to be removed before polishing.

I can get more pictures tomorrow if anyone has a particular request.
