Well next summer is going to be VERY different for yours truly: I have a very strong feeling that you're not going to see me at many BBQs, events, Secret Street nights, cruises, etc., for the simple reason that I'll have something better to do...

Roberta and I are preggers. Against all odds and several BMX accidents I'd rather not talk about, my boys can swim, and sometime in April another money pit will be born. What's going to happen in my life is something I'm going to have to rely on other people's experiences, but by all accounts I'll be abandoning all projects, selling my tools, and actually using my garage to PARK in!!! Probably a loser cruiser of some sort, too...

Donations can be made via Paypal.

(Edit) Oh, the code name! Roberta and I can't come up with a suitable boy's name (we'll find out the gender in 2 weeks, so she might be Amber Lynne Dupuis and therefore no problem) but for now, we've given him a name designed to inspire Roberta to come up with something better. That is, unless we WANT a child destined to take over the world...

Congratulations Matt & Roberta :D

Your life definitely just changed, but kids are great. In fact Matt you have a lot of experience with kids ... right Vik, Andy, Jon, Raz .... oop sorry, did I say that out loud

As for the poll, all of the above apply

But really I am so happy for you guys

I think Samuel Torquemeister Dupuis, or STD.

Then again, have you had a paternity test done yet? Athal Jr. might be more appropriate...

Way to go kids. You'll be missed next year, but hopefully by 2008 we'll have extra small wrenching hands to help at the meets.

STD - I like that. I should try to sneak something like that by her...

And if you want to pay the child support, I'm game for a Pat test if you are!

And to think I managed to keep my mouth shut for how many weeks? I even knew before Matt did...errrr...before he knew I knew, that is... :D

Do I hear April 7th? Yeah...that would be a good day... I'd never forget Jr's birthday that way anyways...

Woohoo, another April baby! :D

CONGRATS Matt and Roberta!!!! I'm so happy for you guys!

I like Amber Lynne for a girl's name, it has a nice ring to it.
For a boy, the first thing I thought of was Aidan. There's one other name I really like, but I'm saving that one for when *I* have kids
Anyways, I'm sure that whatever name you choose will be a great one!

Here's some more good news: she'll be giving birth during the Chinese Year of the Pig, which is very fortunate, as children born during Pig years are happy and honest in life. Yay!

Well Amber Lynn IS the name of a porn star, so there's a certain "ring" to it...

Roberta had mentioned Aidan, but we're looking for something... normal? One thing that bugs me is how many folks are looking for a UNIQUE name, resorting to changing spelling or even making them up. Screw 'em. Tom or Steve or Bill or something like that will do just nice for a boy, something pretty like Amber or Julie for a girl.

If you work 'Xavier' in the name, anywhere, I'll pay for the kids college.

Not kidding :)
