Welp, it finally happened.

Last ngiht as I slept peacefully, some hooligans broke into my garage. Took all my tools, the stereo from the 740 and my little stereo.

Mighty pissed. No money for the sled now, as I gotta spend it on new tools and a new door (steel this time baby).

Ugh

AND DEVIN SENT ME A COMPLETE 16V HEAD! But get this.... No lifters? wtf.

That is the shits man. I've left my garage open overnight on several occasions, 2 days once, and NOTHING has ever gone missing. Tools, parts, skis, bike, all sitting there.

I deserve it. I've been running my sled in the garage for the last 2 weeks sorting out bugs. And I may have taken it for a rip down the alley. So I knew it was an invitation. Glad my big stuff isn't missing. I'm actually the most pissed about having to buy a door for the garage now and having to look into an alarm for the wifey.

This is the first incident, the people we bought from said they were broken into within the first month, then nothing again for 4 more years (when they moved out).

But still... If there are any tool donations

That's 'cause they can't FIND anything in your garage!

Jordan, sorry to hear that. I've been waiting for the day, and my door is the PITS.

Jordan....I'm real sorry to hear about this. Any insurance?
My 145 got broken into twice in Winnipeg. That sucked.
Hopefully the steel door stops that from happening to you again.

Ya I've got insurance, but I've got a 1K deductable. Which I didn't have that much damage/stuff stolen. So I'm not worried.

Just pissed that I gotta buy a new door. GRRRRR

I knew it was bound to happen.

Sorry to hear Jordan, that is the PITS

I have always worried about someone breaking into my garage ... that is why I have steel doors with deadbolts, bars on the windows, and motion sensor lights hooked up to an alarm. The alarm system is not fancy, just motion sensor lights, the cheap kind Canadian Tire sell, with a connection to an alarm, switch to turn on/off the alarm is in the house .... but it works

Thats a good idea Ian, I should go take a look for a kit like that. I'll end up with a home alarm also, but incase it doesn't monitor my garage....

im not sure if my family still has it, but we used to have a radioshack alarm system with door/window sensors, motion sensors and a optional VERY LOUD siren, my dad and i are cleaning out the garage this weekend and i see if we still have it/if my dad still wants to get rid of it.

Shitty deal Jordan! :?
I hope the "little stereo" wasn't the one you bought in highschool, that thing was awesome!

In the immortal words of Peter Griffin.... "damn kids and their music".

Anyways, good luck with the alarm thing. I hope you guys don't have any more problems like that.

On slightly more positive side note, I heard on the news last night that Edmonton has now taken the #1 spot from Winnipeg on the list of Canadian cities that have bad violence and crime rates. :P
