I also recommend picking up a manual, even a haynes from crappy tire is better than nothing. You can learn alot just by flipping through it. Pick up a basic socket set (also from crappy tire when it's on for half price!) and you will be able to fix 90% of the items on your car with a 10mm, 12mm, 13mm, 17mm socket and a philips screwdriver.
As Vik said, if you made the effort to get down here, I'm sure we could arrange a garage, maybe even a heated one(!) to work in. Before you get all the way down here and spend $ on a clutch, it would be good to know that it actually needs replacement. I can't remember what car you have, but if it's a cable clutch, you may just need to adjust it. 3 minutes under the car, and you might not even need tools, could save you alot of trouble...
If you don't have a manual, get one, in the meantime you can probably look over at brickboard.com for the procedure to check and adjust, easier than me typing it all out here....
