I'm re-posting this in case people didn't check Greg's post in the PYP section. We stumbled across a 1984 grey 242 Turbo (intercooled B21FT) at the PYP yesterday. It's on Virgos, has peeling clear coat, rust in the usual places and someone had vigorous sex on the hood (at least that's what COULD have caused all the dents). There is a hole in the roof (don't know if it opens to let in the sun or if it is just there to provide an extra place for water to come in). The power steering pump is puking as is the external fuel pump (apparently the reason for it being there - a fuel smell while driving). The wiring harness is pretty cooked with wires exposed in a few places and the turbo looked to be leaking oil out the intake side. The exhaust is not exiting the car as the "power recurve" has rusted off and been left on the road somewhere. Half eaten cookies in the back are included as are the sparkley pencils on the back seat.
It fired right up and ran nicely - JY dude wanted $500. The crazy part is this is THE car that I've wanted for a while, but with the Canuck on the boil and the Wagon yet to emerge, it will have to wait. Someone give it a good home. The JY guy was thinking about driving it, but he had no clue what a nifty car this one could be with a lot of TLC (and Greg did give him some schooling on the car - seemed unphased).
Greg and I are willing to deliver.
