It's home. Matt and I picked it up last night. I'll get some pictures as soon as it stops raining. We need to go back and pick up a shedload of spare parts, including 2 B18 engines. Apparently he's still got the original bill of sale too... :D

Heh...no evidence, visual or smell, of mice. I'm going to drop some Bounce dryer sheets on it before I cover it up just to keep them at bay...

Bounce sheets works? I'd open up both barrels and stash some good Warfarin inside and in the trunk. Kills mice dead.

And how is Beth taking it?

Fortunately she wasn't home when we rolled up in my battle wagon, towing the little booger behind us. I escaped with my hide... this time. I doubt she'll believe me that I had nothing to do with it.

Actually, she was home but was downstairs. She came out later to check it out. So far so good... :D

Did I mention it's a bit rough?

Anyhow...there it is in all its glory. Didn't notice before, it's still got the original Volvo AM radio. That's kinda cool if it works.

It's rough, but not anything we haven't dealt with on the red car. I now know where the fiberglass stuff is going...no, not on this car. This car will get the good metal fenders that were on the red car and the red car will get the fiberglass. The interior is actually in reasonable shape, particularly the front door panels, the rear side panels and seat. The driver seat will need a rebuild.

Got it from the 2nd owner who bought it when it was a year old and has owned it for 40 years. He's even got the original bill of sale still. He's also collected spare parts for 40 years so I'll be getting a ton of those...

Anyhow, nothing will be done to this car until the red one is done and on the road. I see Princess Auto has car covers on sale so I'll likely grab one and put it to bed for a year or two...

You can't make fun of the rust on my car now!

What's the difference between a 122 and 123?

I think the only person making fun of the rust on your car was you. I certainly barely notice the rust on yours.

There's really no difference between the 122 and the 123, except from equipment. Everything from one will bolt onto the other. Springs, overdrive transmission, rear end, driving lights (not seen on Dale's car, but they're in a box somewhere the guy tells us), dashboard, steering wheel, and probably a few other little differences (like badges), are all differences between the 123GT and the regular 122.
