WTB: 240 Black Leather Interior

If anyone finds a 240 or 260 with a good black leather interior, I'm interested in it for the 242. I've got a GT interior in the car right now and the front seats are a little tired. So I figured as you guys are trolling around the various Calgary PYP's this winter, if you find a decent leather interior pull it and It's sold. I'm going to keep my eye's peeled around here, but I figure you guys have a better chance than I do of finding one.

I forgot, I've got a brand new black (leather?)seat skin downstairs. I don't think I've ever pulled it out of the box...

Is it for sale? That still leaves a single seat and the rears to pull if found. I will probably just rebuild the foam as the 242 backs are different from the regular seats. And I may have some bottom seat foams in my attic - I should check.

Almost had a black leather interior and door panels from a Bertone...the guy responds to my add on IPD, then pulls out after the deal was pretty much made. Damn. Still looking people.

Anyone know if S60 or S80 seats will easily fold up for 2 door access. Ian? There seems to be quite a few on E-Bay right now.

they are power seats, if you can find a passenger seat, they have two tabs on the back of them at the bottom that let you fold them pretty flat

Guarantee you C70 seats will...

I think the only true flip forward seats are the C70, although that is one thing about my C70 I am not impressed with. Don't get me wrong, the seat comfort is second to none, typical Volvo comfort and support, but the mechanism is crap. They are all power, the flip forward cable breaks often (as is my drivers side right now) and to repair it you have to strip the seat cover. In addition when you flip the seat back forward to access the back seat the seat has to move forward (by using the electric motor) this process is VERY slow, many Swedes have experienced frost bite while waiting for the seat to slide forward enough to enter and then slide back far enough to get into the front seat. Other common complaints include the cable from the motor to the seat back recline which also breaks frequently.

I wish they made a manual seat for the C70, I would buy one immediately.

You sure you're not talking about the 780 seats? Everything you described here fits the seats in my car PERFECTLY.

I guess a car company cannot be good at everything and it is quite evident that Volvo cannot make flip forward seats :roll:

They did fine with everything up to and including the 240, but when they try to get fancy that's where they fall down. Note to Volvo: Your strength is in simplicity! Don't play the Cadillac game!

If I find a set of C70 seats, I would adapt them to fit the 240 bases so that I've got manual control and I don't feel like wiring them up to work. Sure the memory function that I've seen looks tempting, but I'm the only driver of this car, so I don't really need that. This would also save a few pounds of weight.

Maybe see if you can find c30 seats. The passenger one is a manual fliip and is really easy to use. Drivers ones can be manual or electric, the electric one is like ian describes it and very stupid but the manual one is awesome. Maybe look for the full manual ones so there are no electrics but all the adjustment.
