well, it looks like my tranny is on it's last legs in the 760, so... i happen to have dale's awesome adapter, and a WC t5... with a hole punched in the case... shit... but a WC t5 if i can get another case to swap the guts into.... I was just wondering, what needed to be done as far as the shifter relocation into a 7 series? and the pedals? I know someone on here has done it... I think... I am searching Tbrix as I type this... And using excessive amounts of ellipses...

Was Ian's car an auto? He's got a T5 behind the 302.

Yes mine was an auto and converted to the WC-T5 behind the 302.
You will need the clutch and brake pedal assembly, all the mounting locations and holes are there. I used a cable clutch, but you have the option of using hydraulic also.

Shifter location on my application was about 2"-3" forward, which required cutting the floor and fabricating a very "interesting" shift lever, but it works extremely well (ask Craig, Dale & Matt, they have all driven my car) here are some pictures:

It sure does work well...as does the entire car.

wow, how on earth did you make that shift lever? I guess I could just break out the oxytorch and a turbocoupe one and bend it up... but still!

The shift lever is a B&M Ripper Shifter and heat and bend is exactly what I did. To clear the center console and to locate the shifter to the correct position I bent the lever into a very aggressive "S" which is actually entirely below the console. Then I fabricated an extension that is about 4"-5" long that threads onto the top of the shifter lever, the shift knob is then mounted on top of the extension.

Verrry interesting... is your T5 close to where it would be, behind a redblock?

It should be close. I say this 'cause the V8/T5 in my 240 lined up perfectly with the shifter hole, and the T5 behind a redblock lines up perfectly in a 240 as well. Therefore it stands to reason that the shifter in Ian's 700 is pretty darn close to where you'd expect to find it behind a redblock.

I'll be finding this out shortly, for myself.
