A local guy with a worldpac account and a volvo wholesale account is how i get all my stuff. If you get it from an experienced mechanic you can also be sure it is good quality stuff that fits right without getting bent over horribly like the dealer will do usually.

Worldpac and dealer delivery are two things I miss a lot. Ordering something at 8am and having a huge box of goodies show up at 10 so you can finish the job and go to lunch is a good thing.

It helps a lot in portland that there are TONS of old volvos around and 3 dealers that compete and have been around a while, so some dealer stuff isn't silly silly dough, especially if it is sitting rotting on their shelves. There used to be 8 RWD volvos on my street in portland alone. Even in 2009, there are still 5 that aren't my parent's. 3 7/9s and 2 240s in 2 city blocks to give you an idea. You gotta go about 20-30 blocks at a time in the inner city to see 122s and 220s though. There are only about 4 122s in the neighborhood and one 220 and one 142E. I bought a clutch cable from the dealer for a very reasonable $35USD. There are still tons of 240s that are still in service.

If it weren't for JL in B-ham, I'd be forced to go to the one dealer in town for some stuff and pay completely insane pricing.
