'Tis the season, it seems... I'm looking at moving on, whether it's taking over the 123GT that Dale rescued or doing something different, and for a change I'm looking at selling all my stuff (again, hah!)
So for starters we have a 1988 780, blue with the blue/black interior. The interior is in pretty good shape overall, though neither heated seat works and the driver's seatback adjustment isn't working. All the glass is good except for a small star in the windshield that I've had filled but it's still visible, and all the lights are good except for a taillight that's cracked near the license plate and one of the headlights gets a bit foggy. There's a few dings and dents, and the clearcoat is peeling off the roof/trunk (it was re-cleared once in it's life), but there is ZERO rust on it or under it. The car came from Oregon originally, then to Washington, then I brought it to Calgary. It's a US car so its speedo is in MPH, but don't hold that against it please. It's a V6/automatic car, and the engine is a bit sick: it has a head gasket leak, the compression is uneven, and the timing chains probably need to be done. The wiring is kinda starting to decompose too, but most of y'alls would probably swap in a turbo-4, which is what I planned on doing. It would come with Bilstein shocks all around and Toyota Previa rear springs in the back, plus the 780 Turbo 15x7 multi-x wheels. The tires on these wheels are poor. I'd like to get at least $2,000 for the car.
I also have the engine & most everything that came out of my 740 - fuel pumps, airbox, hoses, power steering pump & plumbing, motor mounts, etc., that was all planned to go into the 780. The engine is a B23 built by Richard Thomas (CNGbrick), with forged Buick pistons and BMW piston squirters. It was balanced and the block deck was o-ringed, though it wouldn't stop leaking so the o-rings were pulled. The head is a ported 530 with big stainless valves and lots of chamber work to get the compression ratio down to around 9.2:1 (with a stock 530 it would be 10:1). It'll come with an Enem V15 camshaft, installed and degreed, and a brand new head gasket set. I'm kicking myself that I didn't pull the engine wiring harness when I pulled the engine, but I ran out of time and planned on Megasquirting it anyway. I've personally got over $2500 in the engine, but I'll let it go for half that.
I've got turbos: on a 90+ manifold is a 60/63 oil/water cooled T3. I've got a Holset HX-35, an HY-35, a brand new Garrett T4 of unknown specification, and a few other parts. I've got intercoolers: stock Volvo, Ford Powerstroke, and Nissan UD.
I've got lots of spare parts as well: I think 3 sets of 700-series clutch/brake pedals (1 cable clutch and 2 hydraulic), a V6 flywheel/clutch/bellhousing for the B27 (would work on the B280 if you cut the teeth for ignition), an M46 that has a bunch of new parts in it, but needs front/rear gaskets and has an overdrive that slips in reverse. I have gauge clusters for the 780, some interior bits with colours that don't match, and possibly the original airbag steering wheel (there's a fancy Personal Fittipaldi wheel in the car). I've still got the stock LH2.2 ECU and ICU and a chipped ECU (Fredschips), and much of the stuff I was trying to sell earlier this year. I've got an 850 dog gate, a 740 dog gate, yadda yadda yadda.
I'm not desperate to sell anything, and I'm not willing to part anything out until/unless I get the car sold. At the moment, I'm mostly looking for interested parties for that. I know I could sell the cam and the turbo stuff pretty quickly if I wanted to, but I won't until I don't have a car to put them in.
