There is an 86+ 244 at PnP as well as an 85 245. Might be able to find something reasonable there...

IIRC the 86+ strut housings had a little more robust design (thicker tube near the spindle mount or something, not exactly sure what it was) and usually ABS sensor. They may be marginally preferable to the earlier models

Early front strut's use a smaller diameter wheel bearing,as the stub axle is thinner,cant remmember the exact year it changed up though???
