If you don't know what a teardrop is you can go here and find out more
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teardrop_trailer or here
http://www.cozycruiser.com/ to give you an idea

I am building a teardrop based on the Grumman profile wich will be 4.5' wide x 10' long

Over the past 2 years I have been collecting "parts", too many to mention but suffice to say I have everything I need to get this project well under way

Stage 1
Design the profile, this is the basis for the completed project.
The template is made from 1/4" masonite so it is easy to reuse should we want to make a 2nd one

And the construction starts
Wall construction is a wood foam sandwich with 3/8" marine grade plywood exterior framed with 5/4" cedar, the inner layer is 1/8" Baltic birch

Joining the plywood is important, most of this joint will be in the doorway area and cut out, the small area remaining will be reinforced with the framing, but a smooth clean joint is important

Then comes installing the lower framing, can never have too many clamps

The shape is starting to appear

That was the idea, I thought "someone" else may be interested.
I have actually progreesed quite a bit further, pictures not keeping up, both walls completely framed and the door template completed, also the basic galley cabinets are complete. I will post more pics soon.

I didnt know you were building a teardrop or I would have consulted with you before I built mine. I hope to get some better pictures when we take it out on the road.
