Thinking about taking off a 1/2 coil from my front springs. Anyone had any experience with this? How much it will actually lower the car. Thanks

It'll lower the car by the same dimension as a half coil at ride height. If you measure from coil to coil and its 1.5 inches with the weight on the wheels, cutting half a coil will drop the half that. This ignores any pigtails or finished coils or whatnot.

True. But I don't think I can get in there to measure from centre to centre of a coil distance when the car is sitting level on the ground. When I take the wheels off and remove the strut assembly to measure the coil distances they will have expanded the most.

It's pretty easy to do when you turn the steering wheel.
