I have heard stories about a mythical factory Volvo Race/Performance Prep book with engine specs, suspension settings, etc etc. to use in a racing environment or rallying. Does anyone know of such a thing? I have scoured the internet and cannot find any trace. I have come across a publication by a fellow known as Paul Grimshaw, but it's not the same one in question. It's more for interests' sake more than anything, but I would like to see what they thought back in the day.

On another note, I buy a monthly British magazine called Practical Classics. It has some neat features on different cars, and up to a few months ago, some Amazon articles. The November 2013 issue had a multi page feature on servicing the Volvo Amazon. Of course, that's the one issue I missed out on. If someone has it, I'd trade a part or cash for a scan, or the magazine itself. Thought I would ask, thanks.

David

Well, more Internet crawling and I found the Volvo R-Sport book from the 70's. One question solved, although I should have known it was R-Sport related #-o

The Practical Classics question is still valid.

Can't help you with the Practical Classics, but I'm curious about the R-Sport book. Don't think I've ever heard of it. Link? It's not just the R-Sport catalogue?

I have the Paul Grimshaw book, but its not really all that useful.

My apologies, it is just the R-Sport catalog. I do remember something a little more "rustic", but this'll do fine. I wanted some reference material for camshafts, etc to get a better idea of what to look for.

K-Jet.org has a decent selection of documents for access, but I imagine most of the members are aware of the site already. :)

I remember the book you're talking about, David. I think it was this one: http://www.volvoamazonpictures.se/docum ... VOLVOS.pdf

That's the one, Matt! Thanks! Those look like the greenbooks as well, I will have to download those. I had got a "factory" parts manual off of ebay last year, these look remarkably similar.
