Damnit - Haven't been on the site for a while and just saw this... It'd suit my 2000 V70R perfectly - Damnit.
Mine 19T is in need of a rebuild and I have a flange planed R mani and a billet 19T compressor wheel I was going to do at the same time (As well as a rebuild kit). (Although - I could rebuild the 19T and sell it with my mani to offset costs...)
Craig - any idea what it would cost in addition to have the ceramic coating done on the mani? Can't quite see - but is the exhaust housing a T3 flange or is it a Volvo one? Any chance you have the downpipe flange for the exhaust housing? (Project scope escalates if the turbo needs a lot a fab to work since I also have a 3" DP for the angled compressor housing).
Thanks,
Rabin
Hi Rabin - I get the ceramic done in Calgary at Top Gun Coatings and it's usually under $100 if it's prepped as you see here. They just blast and coat it and with the surface finish, it's basically ready to go. I could arrange to have this done prior to shipping if you like. The exhaust is a T3, so no step machined. I hadn't decided if I wanted to machine the turbo or mill the manifold (probably mill the manifold) or just get the adapter from ATP turbo (who also have the flange). I don't have the flange - but you can get them from ATP as well in stainless (you'd have to measure) but I think their divided mitsu is the right flange. You don't need the wastegate port, so it could be just cut off (the one Hahn sells is just a 120 degree triangle three bolt, but is only 1/4" thick. Anyway, there is a reasonable and simple enough solution for fit up. Hahn and ATP and others sell the oil and water fittings that would be needed.
It's not a direct bolt in is the long and short. But I think you know that. It is probably the easiest way to hit 350 hp...this aint no puny TDO4.
