Some of you may have seen my post on T'Bricks about this...

This car arrived last Thursday. I knew it was a nice car but had no idea it would be this nice. 13,595km from new and still in showroom condition. I doubt there is a nicer W210 AMG car on the planet. I think the only rain it's ever seen was when they unloaded it off the boat in Vancouver. Hard to believe it's 18 years old...

I'd love to keep it for myself but I can't bring myself to put the kind of miles on it that I typically drive. It deserves a home where the owner will drive it sparingly and preserve it. I'm even struggling with driving it home from the hangar because it could get dirtier than it's ever been...and I'll put another 35km on it...

The 5L is a different motor than the 5.5L that's in the E55 wagon. It's a 32 valve engine as opposed to the 24v that's in the E55. It's not as torquey on the bottom end but spools up pretty quickly. It only makes 6 hp less than the 5.5. If it gears down to 1st when you stand on it, it will light the tires. Pretty impressive car. Did I say it was pretty much new? The three wagons I've brought in have all been pretty nice but don't hold a candle to this car.

Cool Dale...why does the hood not close properly on the driver's side? So you're selling this one and keeping one of the wagons?

I didn't notice it wasn't closed properly. It's fine.

I've only got one wagon left and someone in Ontario is interested in that, but I can't keep this car and drive it. If this wagon sells, I'll get something else. Maybe I'll find out what kind of winter car a Mini is... :D

That engine really needs to be tuned to redline at 7000. I think they were hand built and could certainly take the revs. It's leaving 30hp on the table I bet...
Nice score dale.

Dang, that thing's kinda clean. Good purchase, you should do well on that one.

I suspect you're kidding about the Mini, but if not I can easily explain to you the error of your ways, having gone two winters in my own. I suspect you might have in your old ones too, so you probably know as well as I do. Besides, you still have a Versa or a Suburban you can drive in the winter should you have to. :P

Those undercarriage pics are insane for an 18 year old car...

Very nice ride.
