My Data print-outs are a bit different then Athals, but it's strange that both our cars pulled timing around the same RPM. I definitely have a problem up top (I actually posted about it months ago on TB) . Usually for me the K-cam is just getting comfortable around 4600RPM.

Oh.. and on that run (highest #'s) looks like the boost settled in at 10.5PSI which was turned down 2lbs from my first pull. I would of thought the turbo injectors could handle that? I wonder if that fan was completely missing most of our cars..

ahh, plot an easier to read chart! :P

Looks like you only took it to 5200rpm? Right at 4900 it starts dying, then about 5050 it pulls even more timing? Actually, are you sure you're not running lean? If it's pulling timing, then MORE timing, maybe you're getting lean knock?

Also wondering if it's valve clatter or something? I seem to have some tick-tick at idle on darth so that'll be one of the things I check. When I pulled the K-cam out for an A (the motor out of the 242) I noted one or two valves were set at 9-10 thou clearance! And that car was dealer, then Mr volvo serviced it's whole life. I digress.

Geoff, there is a (metric) buttload more of power available above 4500 there for you. As you probably know, B23E's didn't hit peak torque until 4500, and peak power was at 5500!

Well my rev limiter kicks in at 6000RPM, so judging from this other confusing print-out we cut off at 5800RPM. He said something glitched and that's why it zero'd out on this printout. (also why there was the spazms in the other graphs)

I am still happy with the results, but now that there is an idea in my head for more potential I'd like to squeeze it out.. Athal I hope your right about me having more power available. :D

I WAS only on 91 octane.. maybe leaning out? I also have valve tick... never checked clearances myself. I was told by the guy who ported my head that they were set perfect (guess I should look for myself)
I wish I had a damn dyno in the garage!

WOAH! Torque peak at 2900...that's even lower than with a T-cam. Got that sucker advanced a tooth or 4? Ignition timing to 18 degrees or something? Maybe it's showing the turbo efficiency- really good low down and superheating quickly as flow/rpm rises? Hopefully some of the experts will chime in.

As for running 91, well if that were an issue you'd see it at or around your torque peak, much lower in the rpm. remember, octane helps with more boost/timing, but has very little to do with mixutre...

I'm starting to wonder if Matt was right about the fan not actually blowing much air on our intercoolers. Andy did ok, but then his car won't pull timing if things start getting hot and pingy like our cars, and without the exhaust we may not have heard it. Wonder what dales curves (DYNO curves sickos) looked like?

They weren't so much curves as straight lines... :?

I'll scan them and post them when I get a moment...
