Im sure most of you saw this car on T-bricks, in the post a pic of your volvo thread. I really want to know how he got the car to sit so nicely, it looks perfectly balanced compared to a lot of lowered 240s ive seen, and i love the ride height.

I tried PMing the guy but i havent had any response from him.

can anyone take a guess as to what kind of springs/suspension setup he is running to get this ride height/balanced look?

My guess is some appropriately cut springs. Looks like he might be running on the bump stops. Looks nice and aggressive but I bet it rides like crap. It's always a trade-off. Stock suspension will almost always give you the best ride but certainly won't give you the best handling or looks. Stiff shocks and lowering springs will look much better at the expense of a substantially stiffer ride.

You get used to it but it can become irritating. I know last summer in the 122, I was glad to get home after the 2500 km of pretty harsh ride. It handled relatively well and looked pretty good but I think Matt and I were both getting a bit weary of the stiff ride...

Keep in mind, if you lower it, you'll likely need to get some shocks that can accomodate. Stock replacement shocks can accomodate a little lowering but if you drop it like the one in the picture, you'll need to go to something like a Bilstein or Koni...

yea i was planning on upgrading the shocks as the ones i have right now are terrible. I wouldnt mind a harsher ride as i dont think the GT will get many long trips in the next few years, i have been debating buying the ipd springs as i dont know if the drop it will achieve will be enough.

I was considering going to a bilsten HD, or koni sports(which are a little more expensive)
