Who cares, I had a blast, and with the engine running so strong it was worth every liter and every $$$

My best, not ioncluding the final leg from Golden to Calgary, was 19.8mpg
the worst was 13.0 mpg but that is where I had the most FUN

OK I wasn't going to say anything...but the Canuck got a best of 34.1 MPG from Cranbrook - Brocket on 4.4 galons (the imperial kind) - can we say tail wind.

I made it home on 1/2 the fuel it took to get out - perhaps I should have given the car an Italian tune-up sooner (and leaned out the damn SU's)

good to hear ya'll had fun...i did end up getting released friday but came home at night......having the weekend off when i though i would be working didn't make me too happy

although here's a story, making me think it was wise not to join the cruise this year with the GT...driving up to red deer on monday evening my water pump seal decide to well, no seal, so the temp is increasing, increasing, i turn on the heat full, no heat..hmmm....pulled over near airdrie, looked, no coolant, poured some coolant in the reservoir and wow did it come out just as fast as i poured it in

this was not good, as i was planning to go see a lady friend in red deer....so what did i do? anything a 23 year old male would do...kept driving...haha okay maybe not any 23 year old but hey if you knew the girl, you'd have done the same thing

so while pouring water into the engine at intervals and stopping and letting it cool down some etc. over and over...ended up parking the car in spruce view at her rents place and she was nice enough to get me a new pump with all the seals from crappy tire in red deer...what a gal!

so anyway i replaced it today and everything is fine, car runs beauty again, but yeah, that would have sucked halfway out to BC :?

next year that blue car is going to be driven!!!!!!!

Ian, talk to me about those wheels if you want them

ciao

whatever, it works so thats that.

remember, my words of advice are being corrupted by being in the service industry. I keep thinking of replacing parts instead of fixing them, I mean its better for the long run but its definately different then how I used to think.

The scary road was no fun, trust me. No need for touch up paint. You don't tend to kick up many stones when you're going 10 km/hr...

Yeah, I think the first thing I said on the radio after hitting that road was "who's sick idea of a joke was it to put a 50 kph speed limit on this road?"
