Last friday, I went to the shop with my snow tires. Both had 2 small holes about 5 cm apart. The guy just put a patch and that's it.

Just that? Can I trust that? I didn't seem to be very strong. Anyone have experience with that? One tire, I wouldn't care so much, but two...

the plugs are strong and they have all sorts of sealant put around them inside. If done properly then you'll be fine.

while working at kal tire i patched a lot of tires...they do it for free by the way...and yes it will hold up as long as the patch/hole isn't on/near the sidewall, then you may have a pooched tire

ciao
