Ok, i bought another Volvo. '89 245 5speed.

I need a couple of things for it though.

I need to find a set of front brakes (rotor's and pads), full exhaust, washer squirter motor, rear hatch, shocks for said hatch, new headlight assemblies, rims and tires (I would love it if someone had some virgo's or something somewhat cheap) or just some nice 14' tires.

Now for the wish list: A small tach, alloy rims, drivers door, springs-shocks-sways (aftermarket), b230ft...

Anyways, if you guys have anything 245 related please let me know. I need to pass the OPI!

Well...

I've got a set of Virgos with bald Kumho Ecsta tires on them. I've got the front swaybar from my GLT although I don't know how thick it is. I've got a wholesale account at Grand Prix so I can get brakes and exhaust for pretty cheap as well as hatch shocks. There's an '89 244 at PYP that had headlights in it last weekend. It might even have a decent exhaust on it as well as a washer squirter motor...

That clip comes out quite easily.. See the slots on either side of the clip? Just force the clip into one of those, the clip will flex and pop out once the shaft slides to the bigger hole.

The AC.. where you have the arrow is part of the AC. If you disconnect the lines (you are supposed to let a shop safely release the gas) it will all slide out quite easily.

Good to see you're getting at it already!

i never feel like doing one but i have done i think 8 240 blower motors. from start to finish i can usually do it in around 2 hours. the first time i did it i think i must have spent 7 hours at least.... its honestly the worst job to do on a 240

Man if this is the worst job I'm all set. It's not really all that bad, taking the dash off was kinda a hassle though.

btw, how much work does it take to swap in a turbo motor? And what is the estimated cost of such a transplant? I'm thinking I might need to change the rear main soon and if i'm that deep into it I might as well add some power!!!
