Don't be silly - I'm in...did you e-mail me off list? I'm still waiting for you to give the go ahead at rallylights.com for the E-code H4's.

I am still in for the HID's for the C70, but as usual I am not in any hurry... just when they get here

Well if you want to get those lights now, go for it. Like I said, I'll probably be placing an order from rallylights.com in the future (this winter some time), and was thinking that shipping could be combined.

Alright, if you and Ian are still in, is everyone else still in? Speak up, everyone!

I'm in no rush - we can still combine the shipping.

I'm in no rush - can Craig pay for all the shipping? :P

So it's just down to Ian, Craig, and myself?

I'm trying again, to contact a seller who'll actually communicate with me. So far I've tried three times without a single reply. The latest guy is in California, and he's got individual auctions (as opposed to Buy It Nows) for his lights, so I'm contacting him for a combined quote to James' house. His shipping quote to the US is quite reasonable, unlike his quote to Canada. That alone pisses me off enough to not buy from him, but everyone is doing it so there's nothing that can be done aside from ship them to a safe-house like James' place.

If this guy doesn't come back to me or if he won't play nice, I'm giving up.

Okay, he got back to me. Basically the deal is $120 USD each pair, shipped to James' house. The catch is that he's only got 6000k and 8000k colours.

These are also not the ones that Homer bought, but another brand. "100% Made In Germany" is what he claims, but the script on the ballast says "Made In German", so I'm a bit sceptical.

Anyway, I'm looking for everyone's blessing before I buy a bunch.

Matt

I'm still in for a set. I was hoping for more yellow than blue though.

Hey Matt, I'll be in for a set too. I think the 8000k ones.
I figure I could retro fit them for the Lex if I decide not to use them for the 245.

I was hoping for more yellow than blue as well, well, actually, more white than blue. I could keep shopping?

Well, after talking with the guy a bit, I didn't get a very good feeling. Besides that, I forgot that the H7 version is only a single filament bulb, therefore should be about $30 cheaper than the others. He "failed to notice" this subtle difference as well. Besides, for $120 each shipped to the US, there are a few other sellers for that price or less, and they offer the 4500K bulbs.

So back to the drawing board. I messaged the first guy again, THREE TIMES before he actually got back to me. Gave me a good price on them, but didn't answer any of my other questions and like the other guy, failed to note the reduced price of the H7 bulbs. I asked him about this... two days ago. Still no reply.

I COULD just win 5 or 6 of his buy-it-now auctions and hope he's on the ball enough to give the discount for shipping

Oh, and Tyler: this guy who I'm now dealing with also offers bulbs that are more purple than the 8000K ones. Since you're getting these for looks and not performance, do you want something a little higher in the colour chart? Keep in mind that HIDs are brightest around the 4000K range, and get dimmer & dimmer as they go up in blueness.

Edit - also: you're going to need 9004 bulbs, right? Up 'till now I had you down for H4 'cause you didn't specify, but after thinking about it a bit more, I assume the Lex and the Volvo are both 9004?

Thanks for the update Matt, and thanks again for putting in the time to organize this. I'm in no rush and if your guts giving you hints about door #1, then let's keep moving.
