people NOT TALKING!

how am I supposed to arrange get togethers etc when NOBODY will give ANY input whatsoever.

But then again, people haven't been talking either! Much love to my boys, but its not much of a 'volvo club gathering' when its just me and andy...or me and athal...so I try to find times when more people can get together but NOBODY gives me any input, as to wheres and whens.

I enjoy the gatherings, I really do. God knows I need time with the boys that don't drive me completely batshit crazy before I go absolutely insane.

but I CANT make these work without people's input! Do people LIKE the cheap wings thing? What day of the week works best for people? What area of the city? etc etc!

Sorry, hun. It's a busy time for me & if I'm not spending time on my stuff, I'm spending time with the family. I'm pretty much speaking for Dale and Ian as well, 'cause I know they've both got some major projects underway at the moment, and... families.

We had no trouble getting turnouts for semi-monthly meetings... you could try that! Every week (or so it seems to an outsider) might be a bit too frequent.

Another thing to try is a restaraunt like we had at Boston Pizza. I don't spend a lot of time in bars or pubs... sort of on purpose.

I am game for an Xmas gathering, how about a pot luck (me likes cooking).

I thinks next week will start slowing down so I hope to make it out then, and maybe I can get me speakers from Andy and drop off Kat's "stuff"

Don't take it the wrong way...we're not ignoring you. Like Matt said, we're busy people (some of us are anyways) and just don't have the time to head out every week. I've got 2 16 year old boys (with different interests) in addition to a house that is in mid-renovation. I've also got a garage that looks like a hurricane blew through it and Craig is coming up next weekend to do a ton of work on the 122. It needs cleaning in the worst way. I've also promised Matt some hours helping out with his garage renovation.

lol i know, i know. god knows my flat is....well...clusterfuck about sums it up.

So yeah, that pretty much leaves Andy, who spends all his time at school or work; Athal, who spends all his time with work or his GF; Vik, who is ALWAYS out of town working; and a bunch of other guys who come and go online and we never see in person anyway.

Sure we've got about 10 active posters, but with three of them living 3 hours away (in different directions), three of them "grownups" with families & kids of their own, two of them going to school and working at the same time (leaving little time or money for anything), and one guy working on the rigs (so to speak)... you're lucky to get ANYONE to show up for wings!

I prefer the wings to the bi/tri/never monthly meetings at bps plus its cheaper for me.

i'm one of those people who like loud noises and all though too
