For those that didn't hear, Matt's "R Sport" conversion has influenced me and, I have started on a Big Brake project on my 740.

Taking a slightly different approach (EBay that is, "thanks Dale") I have made the following aquisitions:

Wilwood SL6 (6 piston) calipers
Billet rotor hats (MVP oldstock)
Willwood 12.19" x 1.25" rotors

Heh...you're very welcome. I am doing a Wilwood swap on the 122 as well although it might be a little more involved...

11.75" X 1.25" Wilwood rotors...

Wilwood Forged Billet Superlite 4-piston Calipers...

That's the easy stuff. I'll need rotor adapter hats, caliper brackets and braided stainless lines...

More later...

Now that painting is done, I'll be putting in serious amounts of time in the garage. First thing is to get that box from POR 15 and treat all the rust inside. Then I can paint it with POR15 black and then start the interior assembly. Sound deadening, then carpet. Then I need to figure out door panels and seats...then wiring...then suspension and brakes... All in that order...maybe...

Update, the rotors have arrived and thought you would like to see the comparison between the Wilwood 12.19" x 1.25" and the stock Volvo 11.25". Both units weigh the same at 12 lbs.

Damn fool...listed them all wrong. They're 6 piston, not 4 piston and the calipers won't work on the rotors he's selling with them. They're the same calipers Ian just got for his car except they're radial mount as opposed to lug mount...

Time to resurrect an old post.

Thanks to the genius for Matt and Dale the caliper brackets are finally back from the machine shop, truly a work of art

I am documenting the brake conversion with pictures and will post soon.

I now have all the bits and pieces except for the SS brake lines and one or two fittings. the major install should be done over the weekend with the final bits being finished early next week.
