My mechanic has a 1998 S70 that was fully modified by the previous owner, ipd intake, exhaust, chip and full suspension. He finds the sport suspension way too stiff for his liking.

Anyone who is willing to swap their stock suspension with him can do so for the amazing deal of paying half the labour cost for him to do the work. I won't guess what that would be as I have no idea how long it takes to change shocks/springs on an S70.

I also know IPD offers several shock and spring varieties and we haven't looked closely enough to determine what brand they actually are (TME/Eibach/H&R springs, Tokiko/Bilstein/Koni shocks). It will be his discretion which components he decides to swap, may just end up being springs, or shocks, or swaybars (not sure if they're upgraded or not, assume so) or the whole kit and caboodle.

YOU are responsible for ensuring proper fitment- for example, I think some of the stuff works on 850s, but I don't *think* any of it is compatible with C70s.

PM me if you want me to hook you up!

Yes the springs are different between the S70 & C70.

Now there's a smokin deal for any of you  (Kat, Ian and ?) - I can't see it taking anymore than a day to do the swap.

I was just down there and checked. Couldn't tell which springs, but definitely bilstein shocks. Couldn't tell if it had upgraded anti-roll bars (do WWD volvos have rear bars?)

Someone get a sweet deal and buy your favorite swedishmeatballrocket a case of beer!

Have you made the deal yet? IIRC Athal would like a case of beer (and for bringing you this deal, it had better not be Wildcat  ) and the mechanic wanted 1/2 his time paid for (hell I'd offer to pay for all the time). Check out the suspension upgrade prices - this is WAY better than a kiss

Like your new sig...Saffron is one smokin colour, but your car is, without doubt, red.

Deal not done yet. My mech has to have a look/drive at Kats car- with the kind of mileage she has he needs to make sure there's still some life left in Miss Vivs legs

Gonna bump this up after a good 2 years.

Uzzi still has the car, still complains about the suspension. I think he's considering just getting new stock stuff, and selling the IPD gear separately.

He'd probably still work a deal to swap with someone who has decent stock used stuff.

Not sure who that would be (besides guys who NEVER post here), but bump anyway.

Did you see the guy on Turbobricks who has an entire suspension for sale... Cheap, like 400 bucks.

Might be what he is looking for. Then sell his IPD stuff to fund it

naw, rarely troll the for sale forum- too tempting!

I think Uzzi would rather feel the suspension on the car so he knows what he is getting. Hence why he took Kat's car for a drive and said "no thanks!" (not surprising with 300+kms). If he's going to buy parts sight unseen, he'll just buy new stuff.
