Ian won the pool for when my junk will arive from VPD. So there is a bottle of wine (as requested) coming Ian's way. The cylinder head package is due tomorrow (it's in town, I just have to pick it up). I'll be posting pictures tomorrow when I unwrap my present. Total time, for those counting is 2 years 1 month and 16 days to delivery. :D

I've got to open the box first, but so far I'm feeling a lot better...it sure will be nice to put the head on the new engine and get the new engine put in the car. It's been a terrible experience with the potential for a good outcome.

Anyone thinking of a Summer Dyno day?

Awesome, and congratulations Craig, great to hear the parts finally came.
Together we shall enjoy the wine in celebration of the event, maybe we can even make a toast with the engine together and running in the background

I quite like this idea - I'm bringing it to Calgary for a detailed inspection and will likely not get the engine together before early May. I've got to do a complete underhood revamp and there is a couple of weeks of parts cleaning and painting that will have to go on before I'm ready to drop it in.

dyno day will be held whenever you're ready, I can have one set up on one or two weeks notice.

:)

Next contest is to guess when Craig will actually have the car on the road.

Aug 14.

Nothing to do with Craigs skills (which are mad yo), but just knowing how car projects usually take 3 times longer than planned.

I'm noticing no year given Athal...

I say September 4, 2009. ;)

(again, nothing against the mechanic skills, but the exponential time required due to getting ....really...wierd....stuff)

I am an optimist, I would say early to mid May, but with the added inconvenience of rebuilding the head, and waiting for the clutch fork, I will say June 3
