Sad news for Volvo lovers; this car is no longer...



It was a beautiful '93 Classic brought up from Atlanta by Brad a few years ago and bought by my brother in law about 3 years ago. It served them well but last week while turning into a parking lot they were rear ended and the car was written off.

So...they are on the search for another wagon. This time they'd like something with cupholders and power seats so I suspect we'll be looking at a 960, V90 or possibly even an 850. I'm tempted to flip my 960 and bring up a V90 from the US for us. Anyhow, if you know of a nice one for sale somewhere, let me know. I've been asked to wath for one. They'll be seriously looking in a month when they get back from Europe...

Tell them to get one in Europe instead! You can find some pretty gem over there!

Darth is potentially up for sale...

I know. I thought about it for a bit. Likely sell him my car and buy Darth for us, should it go that way. How much for Darth?

I was thinking somewhere in the $5-6k range seemed fair. That was making sure everything was up to date, probably a half decent set of all seasons on the steelies. He needs about $1000 worth of parts, plus labor, I think- rad, water pump, t-belt and front seals, brakes, possibly egr components, tires, so price can obviously be adjusted if you wanted to do that work.

Thats a huge bummer. I've always wanted a 245 classic at some point...wonder how many of the 1600 are left? Preferably dark blue on black, but the wine red metallic color is nice too.

I'm selling my 945 in a couple weeks, though more likely than not someone local will end up with it. It has a tan interior . M47 though at least.
