Has anybody had any experience with doing a +T in a 240 car? I have read alot about it on tbricks but it would be nice if someone here has done it so I could get more detailed info or help.. thanks guys.

There's at least 3 guys in Calgary that have done this in one form or another. My 242 is essentially a +T conversion, only the engine was totally rebuilt from scratch and the car was gutted and rewired at the same time.
Most of the info you should need is on tbricks, just search and read. You can certainly give me a shout if you have some specific questions (see phone list thread), but your best bet is to come down sometime and pick some brains at a gathering.

I've done a +T as well, on an older 240 with K-Jet. Its been running strong now for almost 2 years. The hardest part for me was rewiring the car, but I did the whole swap with minimal mechanical experience. If you have any questions about the install, fire me a PM, or post here, and I'll try to help.

Alright I will. Does anyone here have experience with Megasquirt? I've read alot about it on tbricks but the newer stuff i've read lately sounds really complicated. Any thoughts?

If it sounds complicated, it likely is complicated. If you're going to spend money on MS, you'd be better off spending that money on a proper turbo engine swap first, and doing the MS later on. Just my two cents. I'll be Megasquirting my car at some point, but it won't be before I've built a proper engine. Adding sweet engine management to a crappy junkyard engine build seems backwards in a way. The +T was a way for me to get by, but by no means the final solution for my car.

Greg, I disagree. I think MSing a JY motor is a good idea.

You'll be able to learn MS, how to tune, what works and what doesn't, without damaging that fancy new motor that you've just built

My 02 cents

My 122 ran MS for 2 years and will run it again. Matt has run MS on various cars for 5 years or more. Raz might be running on MS now...maybe?
