The weekend after that is free so far, and if it's still nice I say we try. If not, we've all got our winter cars ready, right?

Sounds good, I will book that weekend

my winter "storage" for the 242 will likely be on the street in front of my house, so if there isn't snow on the ground i'll for sure be down for a drive. I'm only assuming I don't have something on that weekend, which may or may not be the case...

If the weather is nice I'll be driving down as well. Hopefully I can do a few more things to the car first.

Thought I should get this thread going again, it is just a week and a half away.

What day works best for everyone Saturday or Sunday?
Who is planning on attending?
Where are we going?

Either day works for me at the moment. Hopefully we can have both available in case the weather favours one day over the other!

I guess where we go depends on who comes- ie. if any of the bridge boys want to make the hike we should do a drive towards the south. Otherwise, I've never driven the 22 north at all, how is it up towards sundre?

 I may need a tow as well. I still have no brakes at the moment, and I need a windshield and an inspection once that's done. I doubt my car will be ready at this point, as my inlaws are here this weekend.

I doubt we'll make it in my car...but my internals are fully balanced and I should have an engine assembled by Sunday - maybe an install on Monday (holidays are good for something).

I'm there. Hopefully the family is gone by then....

What's left after that, besides starting the engine? :D

maybe it's me are we looking at the Sunday after the long weekend?
if so bring your car's at my shop saturday for a tech check to see if they will make the drive.
I'am sure there is some volvo guys that can help out.
NO CHARGE.
(but you better show up for the cruise)
lets make a mini meet and see how far we can go and where.
Paul

That's a nice offer, thanks Paul. So far, looks like it's just 3 or 4 of us, so maybe we just meet at your shop, anyone who wants a quick gander at/under their car can do that, then we can hit the road from there? I know guys like Ian probably don't need their car looked over, and the only thing I might want to do is re-torque some of my rear end nuts and bolts (SO much easier on a hoist!) and that wouldn't take long...

Great offer, Paul. I figure I'll be there with my 780, provided it hasn't snowed. I was hoping to take it on the cruise anyway.

You got a 4 wheel alignment rack? I know I could use one, and some time during the winter I will probably need to bring it in for a proper alignment rather than my straightedge-and-tape-measure job. I plan on pulling rear suspension apart this winter, otherwise I'd get one now.

ya i agree i only have the 2 heads working right now,or we can back the car in and adjust it like that but you won't get a thrust angle.

old machine works great but try finding parts.
but on yours a 2 wheel would do fine unless you hit something in the rear.
after all all things can be adjusted bahahahahahahaha.
Happy Halloween.
looking forward to the cruise.
