I know this is gonna be a dumb question but whats the MPG like?

I would love to get back into a 740 wagon (I really miss mine) but driving in from okotoks with something that gets less than 25mpg on the highway might kill me!

In the city and in the winter it's not too hot, and I haven't had it on the highway yet. I also can't drive responsibly in the snow, so that accounts for lots of extra fuel usage.

how many Km's have you been getting on a tank?

Now that I think of it, you probably have no idea since the gauge is broken!

Depending on the weather, I hit the gas station between 300 and 375 km. If it's warm out, 375 km of city driving will cost me 50-ish litres, and if it's cold out, I get closer to 300. This is all based on the old engine, though - the new engine I don't know well enough yet. With the higher compression and smaller cam (T cam instead of V15T) it should be better.

I should mention, though, that I'm chasing a couple of problems at this point: Occasionally it'll give a hard miss - either it'll hesistate under light throttle or it'll feel like the ignition has shut off for a rev or two under hard throttle. Additionally the other day it ran on 3 cylinders for a few seconds while cold and under some load, and to make matters worse, at -30 it's been giving me start troubles. It fires right up, immediately stalls, and then is a bitch to get started again. I think the three are related, but changing the coil, ignition module, MAF, and CLT sensor hasn't fixed the problem (though it hasn't been cold enough to have the no-start happen since changing MAF or the ignition pieces.) Next stop is to try a head mount distributor to eliminate my block mount as a problem, and then to chase wiring. The block mount is the only part of the engine support system I changed during the engine swap, and the car was 110% reliable before hand. Can't see why the dizzy would give me grief only during cold cranking, but it (and the wiring) IS much closer to that big alternator of mine... I've had ignition issues from EMF interference before, so it's possible.

^^ in the interest of 100% disclosure ^^

I'm not making this easy on myself, am I? Nobody's even interested in any of the parts?

im in the market for a cam, after experiencing m cam fallout.

sorry dude, id take the turbo too, but id have to wait until summer... (school)

sell your block first tho, no point in parting a car just for a few bits here and there.

maybe sort out those issues and then have a go selling the whole car? might be worth a go.

good luck

Edit: now that I look at the list, that head, alt and g90 are all appealing, but like I said, funds are short during the school year. if you want to work something out for later I can do that. shoot me a pm with some ideas on prices...

just a thought

Okay, this was a bad idea. Forget the whole thing. I'm going to part it out in the spring.

Matt, I most certainly am interested in some of these bits, namely the engine, but there's no way I can give you what they're worth.

Oh, there's a way...it just requires a lot of bill eating, a separate bank account, or a payment plan  .

Likely a separate bank account would work. Shhhhh.
