haha...if you were closer I'd give you a bin of throttle cables and let you pick out the B21FT one. Damn me for never throwing anything away...

nope it was my fault i gave him an oem number it just turned out not to be the right part. who knows what year or part irv used when he swapped the engine. I will get my part back from Valentines tomorrow take some pics measurements and see if the guy in bc can match it up with one he has.

ps you work at Valentines? my part is there maybe you can match it up with something? like your 81 242?

Might be able to, I've got a throttle cable from something in my garage too. Im just not too sure where the one from the race car is at the moment. I'll take the one to work tomorrow and compare.

Another option would be to adapt a universal throttle cable if you cannot find a replacement ... this is what I used on my V8 conversion.
I used Lokar and they stock them at Mopac

Forgot my throttle cable at home but I took a look at it. It is not a B21FT cable, they are the shorter ones. Im guessing its one from a b230 or something like that. In any case it is discontinued from volvo, the junkyard will have 50 million of them though (give or take a few million depending on how many volvos are there) if I am thinking of the right cable.

B21FT is longest of the SOHC volvo cables. B23/230 EFI manifold is shortest, then N/A K-jet, then B21FT. Actually, I take that back...never mesured a carb 240 cable or an R-sport 16V head one.

B20 and B27 are longer still.
