How did a thread about one girl installing brake lines turn into 4 pages... when we're not on Tbrix?

Edit - oops, 5 pages.

We're all guilty of it Mister Dupuis, and it seems related to Volvos...

I keep waiting for the promised second set of pictures...I think this occasion requires at least 10 pages! Think about it, who else can have almost 1500 posts and have this as their first and only "build" related thread. That's an accomplishment.

I can't remember where I saw it, but Kat, you were interested in a TDI? what kind of deal were you looking for, because my cousin is selling his loaded 2003 jetta wagon, 5spd, ~100k. have a look at market prices and let me know if that would be anywhere close to your budget.

Ooh...umm...in all honesty I don't even know what fair market price is...its hard to find them on CL or autotrader...

Let me know...and I'll get back to you on it ;)

(I'd need to say to the Bank of Mommy...dear bank...give me a loan)

cause christ Athal, that would be PERFECT.

*edit* looks like bluebook is USD 11,000...

hmm...

what's he going to ask for it...

*further edit*

it would need to go through burt & jacks to make sure it's still mechanically sound, but I think I can swing it...I have sent an email to the bank of mommy...cause I know I sadly don't have enough equity in my house to get a good rate on a line of credit...so I've begged if I can have her take out a LOC on their house (they have MUCH more equity!) and then I do the payments on that...I should be able to tell you more by tomorrow.

Am I interested? I'm not gonna lie, the answer to this is a resounding hell yes, and I'll do what I can...

Shh, nobody said I could spell!

I'll be stopping by to visit my lovely lads at BERT & Jacks ;) with cookies ;) tomorrow.

Thoughts on the 2k3 tdi's paul? Apparantly according to the consumer reports, they're not the prime shining examples of reliability...(so sayith my parents, who have those magazines...I believe my mother's exact words were "you should get a subaru instead"...gak to rapeage at the pumps)

Athal, to be a bit more clear: It's a maybe. I get to talk to me daddy tonight...pls pls pls! toss me as much info as you can on this car.

hmm, what can I say. they take care of it, has summer and winter tires, had a few small warranty issues early on but as far as I know its been very reliable for them. they give it diesel treatment to keep from the coking problems they are known for. mostly highway miles. silver on black leather.
only selling because they have baby 2 on the way and need to up size.

I doubt I'll be able to get the financing together...I don't want to go through the bank and have stupid interest rates. sigh. And...it looks like the 'bank of mommy' doesn't want me in a diesel. :(

love for thinkin about me athal, it truly would have been perfect. (if only I won the lottery lol)

I'll just keep beatin Christine into the ground lol
