but some of the different ways of patching tires out there are not, well, shouldn't be road legal, most of canadian tire's repairs are up there with "un road legal" stuff, imo

Some law in effect or coming into effect saying that a quick tire plug can only be used as a temporary fix. The proper fix for a tire is to remove it and put a plug-patch in it
