Ya, the real resto boys and girls are not likely to want these lights.

But the real resto boys and girls probably aren't restoring cars that came with the street car versions of these lights, stock. Right?

Bosch, though? I thought they were Cibie or Valeo or something.

The lights that came in my car were Lucas (had H4 in blue stamped in the middle and Volvo embossed in the glass - Hella also makes lights with Volvo on the glass), I'm not sure if they used one supplier exclusively like in later cars or not.

Can you expand on what specifically was a problem? Other than cracks and chips in the glass lens I can't think of any issues I have had with e-codes.

The reflector dullens significantly over 12-20 months greatly reducing light output. Also the bulb glass itself darkens, esp. the high watt ones. It's difficult to separate the two effects, but the light output is awesome when first installed, then you think you are getting used to it, and they lightes don't have to become nasty looking with rust for the light output to be quite a ways down...
But, so, what chose do you have sealed beams suck...?

The big issue I have with Euro pattern lights is the extreme reflection of signage, esp on high beam. I think I might just bite my tongue about the tacky look and put in more of those Ebay clear lens ones. With 90/130W they don't last long, but the cut off is horizontal..
