Crystal Glass can get 544 windshields fairly reasonable (less than $225 IIRC). The problem is the app has been left out of their computer software, so I need to dig through my receipts and find a part number, or maybe look at the one that's in my bedroom clothes closet (but not for sale, sorry) and see if it shows a "jobber" part number. Or find a shop that has old paper catalogs. I do have a glass wholesale account through work (parts manager at a Hyundai dealer in Edm.), so give me a reminder to check it out for you- iadr@hotmail.com. I don't post here that much, but am a "known commodity"- met nearly half the core posters at some time or another, done business with several, and am planning to be in Calgary Feb 27-28.

Hey Ian....can you still get windshields for a 122? I'd love a spare and I know both 123GTs need them...

Ok, I'll Post-it my Sidekick's (DD) dash, and my office wall, and pants pocket and anything else- been really absent minded lately- and see what I can do.

What you need is a NAGS number for the windshield. I've never had to look up a 122 for my own use, but the NAGS numbers in general are kept really out of the public domain, I know I have one for the 544 glass and the 122 one I thought was still listed in the software the chains use, at least several years ago.

Sure would appreciate what you can do, my windshield is toast. No cracks just one huge 2-3 in hicky in front of the driver. Funny tho, no cracks came off it but it's opaque because of dirt and mud getting into it. It's acutally soft when you push on it but doesn't break any more. Weird. I remember when it happened, it sprayed shards of glass all over the inside but didn't come thru. Tough laminate material I guess.

The NAGS # is FCW86 according to my invoice last time I purchased one. Now Crystal tells me that that number is no good. This may be harder than I thought. Still working on it.

FWIW, NAGS # for the 122/220 are 112, and for the 1800 e/s, 136, and for the 1800ES, 138. These are only important if you car is missing from the database like our PV's. They still list a Renault Dauphine- FCW30, but not PV...? #-o

Now that's really weird, when was the last time you saw a Renault Daphine except in a movie about Europe. These people have strange values, there's lots of PB544s around. I appreciate you trying, I'm afraid these hicky removal places couldn't even touch this one. Thanks

What I was told is that FCW86 is the right number, and there is one in Vernon. The number no longer searches properly in the database, btu they believe that is the only one around.

Local Crystal glass quotes me $250 plus $20 shipping.

I was/ still am hoping to ask if one was around for a bit less, and then ask about the 122 ones.

Cool...I called a glass shop here and they really had no interest in helping me. Doubt the guy even knew what I was asking for...

Well, I am a little surprised- the 122 glass is $455, due to the main distribution channels being out, previously was less, but now the only ones available are in retail systems. Basically there are a limited number of manufacturer warehouses, none of which are showing stock. If you can remind me in 60 or 90 days, I can check again for supply to be flowing.
For 1800ES, $490 & same scenario as 122,
and 1800 no stock anywhere, more like the 544 situation.

For the PV544 the one in Vernon via Crystal Glass is going to be the best deal. If you call with a part number - FCW86 and a price- $250, a local-to-you Crystal Glass store should be able to have it transferred in. Once that sells, new production glass will be ~$400, and you may be waiting 12-24 months...

Just a thought- what about Olaf Malmberg?
