Most of you consider yourself knowledgeable in cars.
I thought it would be fun to post some automotive tools to see if anyone knows what they are.

This special tool is not home made, it is available through a commercial company.
Anybody know what it is?

Sheesh...a wing nut, a carriage bolt and something taped to the end. Somebody actually takes credit for producing such a thing?

Spare tire hold down...know that isn't a tool. So this has to be a device used for measuring something.

Oh hell! A lifter puller-upper for changing cams without pulling the intake manifold in a V8. Are you serious?

Butts against the cylinder head to adjust the "reverse pushrod" length.

Exactly, the magnet grabs the lifter, you pull it up (but not too much), then you snug the wingnut against the head or guide plate to hold the lifter up. Then simply slide out the old cam/slide in the new cam all without removing the intake manifold. Saves several hours of work and an intake gasket set ... the tricks of flat rate mechanics ...
