White/black checker cloth. Straight. All original. Cali car originally, then Oregon. Minimal/no rust.

Body:
White with black tape under the windows removed
OE trailer hitch
White OG paint 90+ hatch/tail gate

Interior:
Decent somewhat worn late model black checker cloth with black original everything else with.
One small crack in the dash.
Black dash mat lives over it.
Diesel under dash mats.

Brakes:
New calipers
New junction
New master
SS lines
PBR ceramic pads
No dust shields up front (might want to put them back on if it is to be salted though it still has the soft seals for the front wheel bearings).
ATE power discs on the rear.
Brembo rotors on the front.
Power bled and then hand bled with ATE super blue.
It stops very well.

Suspension:
1979 GT front springs
Bil HD struts
Super pro poly front bushings
IPD bars
Trimmed wagon springs
Koni yellow rear shocks
IPD?? poly torque rods

Engine/major mechanical:
Carefully rebuilt B23ET with thin headgasket
Stock T cam
Recent stock turbo with water center section
Stockish 398 head.
Stock manifolds
ATP wastegate
3" quiet exhaust with flex
New fuel tank
740T intank pump
New injectors, accumulator, almost new k-jet main pump.
New/recent radiator (updated OE)
Recent fan clutch.
Recent clutch (M46)
Recent OD service
New engine harness
New cloth braided fuel grade vac lines on all parts
New seals all around (no leaking at all)
rebuilt alt
New mounts (all 3).
New wheel bearings.
Recent oil change, air filter and mann oil filter all good to go.

Axle:
Stock.
Have an LSD for it, but no time these days to be messing with cars.
Big bushings were done and are tight (OE rubber)

More details to come.
5000 or serious offer.

It is a nice car. It goes, stops and handles nicely but isn't murder to drive really...it is an old 240, so it doesn't drive like a brand new car, but most everything works.

The bad:
A/C needs charged again and the cruise control worked, but was removed when I changed the motor and is all in a box.
Tail lights a bit dull
Tailgate harness doesn't completely work
Few small dings
PS rack is original..it works. I have a spare rebuilt one just in case.
Washer tank currently in box with cruise control (lol).

I just don't have the time and the newer toyota that I don't think about doing anything at all to other than basics (I am not quite a lease guy...I can do brake pads, shocks and tires on a car myself and a few basics....gaskets, seals and belts and plug wires are ok too).

I will post pics. There aren't many 240s, let alone 240 turbos that I've liked more than this one. It always fires right up and goes nice though. Just starting a business on the side and working means I don't have time for cars. Nowadays I get in the car and enjoy driving an automatic where I turn the key and don't even think about it. I will always be a car guy, but right now that is not what I have time for and to the extent I want anything, I just want one boring car and to save for a decent house.

I wouldn't call the 240 "finished," but it is a good car.

Sounds great; I'll mention it to JP, if you haven't sold it yet.

Pictures?

Can't think of any reason JP would want to spend $5000 on a 240 series car and then figure out how to get it here from the west coast, but you never know I guess... :?

I'd be willing to drive it. If I drove it out in summer, the A/C and cruise would work.

I'll try to get a picture tomorrow. It has been pouring down rain, so pulling the car out to get a remotely decent/descriptive picture has been difficult.

There are lots of other details I forget and will add. It is pretty decent for such an ancient car, but it is very old, and though it is in pretty good unmolested mostly original condition, it is a used car, and a 26 year old one.

I sort of threw it out there. I don't totally expect it to sell here by any means, and I don't need it gone yesterday, but I'm entertaining doing other things. I wouldn't get rid of it on an impulse...it provides good utility while being fun to drive. If someone wants to throw a serious offer or wants it without all the parts (like wheels or something easily removed/swapped), that's workable. It isn't a parts car either, but wheels, brakes or some little this or that that you do or don't want, we can negotiate on. I also have a lot of nice parts I kept for 240 series cars that would go with the car basically...lots of stuff to keep it nice or keep it going for a while.

"West-Coast" Ooooops! hahahahaha.

JP is away until the 10th, but he looks for cars for other people too - you never know.

Pics are good, but no rush.
