Last Monday I got a spot on a time attack track night. Cars ranged from me and 2 other S60R's, to a caterham powered by a GT40 5.0 (he even built the panels himself). A 525hp skyline, old rx7's, new rx7's< couple evo's. I have to say that it was the most fun I've had in a long time. For 2 nights afterwards I didn't dream about anything but the track and how to change my line etc etc. Only one casualty of the day was a civic going off the end of the straight into the gravel pit.

The track is sort of small. I think 1.1mile. On the long straight I'd hit rev limiter in 3rd (160km/h) before going through a wicked series of corners and weightless rises. They even have pro insrutctors for ride alongs for free. Anyways. Car held up well! Had a good amount of oil dripping from my turbo onto my bevel gear. PCV was working over time! It was 80 dollars for the night. I went for 4 sessions of 10 laps. my best lap time was 77 seconds, the fastest was a 64 (skyline). The bikes I watched out there the night before set a lap record of 58.something second lap...

Everyone should get out on the track. It was so much fun, the people were beyond nice. There are pictures, but I haven't uploaded them yet. Maybe this weekend if Itake a break from work.

This gets me pumped on the 240, it would be much more fun to have out there. And if I blow it up, I'm not worried about how I'll get to work.... So today I ordered up a full Ben suspension (minus the control arms) so if someone wants my coleman coil overs, bilsteins, poly bushings, ipd torque rod and panhard, let me know. Stuff won't be here for a month or something I'd expect, maybe 2. Probably making a trip to kamloops canada day weekend to pick up my old GT's turbo engine, just so I have a little power for the track. And one day, your wilwood kit will be done and make its way onto the car!

I might go back in 2 weeks. They run every second monday night alternating between timed and not timed events.

I've got a freshly rebuilt B23 (0km) with a turbo strapped to it if you're interested.

How much andy? I honestly don't know that the car will be on the road this year, might not make it until next summer. And by then I want to have a 16V 230 in it. Tell me more about it though...

Dale, let me know when the rears are done, I'll come down and pay for the fronts and pick up the different rears, and pick up some fronts!

Does anyone have an m46 is ok shape kicking around? Again, wouldn't only be used for this year...

Its the engine from my 1980 240, had a blown headgasket and such so we rebuilt it with new bearings and rings and then hooked up a 90+ manifold and that turbo from Athal. It would be easy enough to take the turbo off if you dont want it or whatever. For the engine I'd like $200 lets say, to cover the costs of the rings and bearings and such and if you want the turbo that would be another couple hundred.

Let me know, I would like to move it out as I'll probably be getting rid of this 240 soon (my partner is moving to Grand Cayman Island) and I don't have a garage.

400 bucks for it all? are the oil lines set up for the turbo? I'm interested, could pick it up next weekend probably.

Anyone have a 3" exhaust laying around? some intercooler pipes? I've got an ebay ic sitting here already...

I don't have all the lines to it but you are welcome to what I do have. Let me know when you would like to get it, I am free this weekend if you want (I know its a long weekend for some though) but next weekend i'm away so we'll figure something out (the weekends after are fine).

I have work friday until 4pm but am free afterwards. The engine is 5min away from work so that shouldn't be a problem and there is liquids in it so you could lay it flat in the R. If you want, I could remove one of the manifolds so it lays flat.

Give me a call on my cell though whenever. (403)-613-9096

Andy

Do you need any other parts? Tranny (m46), driveshaft, GT cluster (0km), or some sweet toyota seats with high side bolsters and one with a 240 rail already attached?
