Hi guys ; My speedometer stopped working on my 88 740 GLE. Sometimes it would work intermittenly but now it has stopped all together. Any solutions out there? Also looking for a couple of steel winter rims.

Your speedo is electric and runs off the tone ring in the differential. Often the sensor gets covered with sludge and metal filings. The first thing I would do is remove the sensor (you will see two wires going to the sensor on the rear cover of your differential). Clean it up really well and reinstall.
