Wow. Yeah, second gear was done in a way that didn't show in your first pictures. That thing would have shifted miserably.

11 lbs for those that are keeping track - current flywheel is around 18 lbs.

I'm still debating if I should fuel through the tail light or should I cut a hole in the rear deck above the trunk lid and go with an old school flip fuel door.

I have a couple of them myself. We were just cataloguing/negotiating Craig's castoffs, and we both missed the significance of his crank.

Forgot about that...just use the bolts that fit and a little locktite on the bolts and some construction adhesive on the mount face. Should hold. Greg's going to have a metric crank coming out of the Smurf (RIP little buddy).

hmmm, that's a tough one, I like both. If I had to choose I think the old school flip door is pretty resto-modish and is always in view, fueling through the taillight would definitely get attention at the pumps though.

I looked at it again this morning and I don't think there is enough room for a reasonably sized filler on the rear deck panel. The tail light housing is just so flimsy. Perhaps I'll make a stainless steel housing.

I need help with wheels again...it's tormenting me. I know I'm changing my wheels as they are cheap Chinese knock-offfs and need more lip to look right. We're not shooting for OK looking - I'm trying to hit a home run here.

Here's the car as it was:

Here are some random shots of what is common.

Same basic car with some kind of Weld Racing wheel.

With some random looking 80's wheel.

Torque Thrust's

Old Skool Gold Meshies.

Canadian Tire Modular wheels from the 80's

Panasports

Photoshopped Salt Flats

Vox old look:

Vox new look:

18" Peg's

I was diggin a set of these even though they don't make them anymore...

Problems - Corvette C4 front suspension:
Bolt pattern: 5 - 4.75"
Offset: ET 38

Toyota Supra rear suspension
Bolt pattern: 5 - 4.5"
Offset - doesn't matter - probably run ET 38

OK - thoughts?

The VOX car would look good with Dracos. Hard to judge with that car. It looks stunning with both those wheels. Definitely not the 18" Pegs unless you drop it about 4". Not really excited by any of the others. The Panasports are a classic look and look good on most cars. The BBS wheels are nice. Difficult to say what they would look like on your car...
