Didn't make it home in time today to head out. Hopefully I can go during my lunch hour this week.

Hey Lethbridge crew: I need a 740 Turbo steering wheel. Anyone got one, or is there one in a yard local?

There was a 7 series turbo car in the JY. I don't know what condition the wheel is in. It's on the list.

If you mean the Gold one it's still there, but it's a GL not a turbo. Right now that and the blue 240 wagon are it for Volvo's at Airport PnP.

Looking for a hood and drivers side fender for a (preferably) white 1989 740. My daughter's boyfreind's roommate backed "over" her hood with his truck, she lives in Hinton the land of jacked up 4x4's which in this case was an "advantage" as he rode over the top of the hood instead of smashing the front end in. It's become somewhat personal as well as they all think her car is a POS and she should just scrap it and buy a...

Edmonton PnP would obviously be closest, but we can make Calgary work as well if need be. After a bit of prying the hood is openable so it's drivable as is and waiting for white is an option in the shorter term. Also, if anyone has a good used 740 exhaust (complete I believe) she needs that too.

Hinton = hillbillies clearly. I hope the young lad has offered to pay for the repair and return the car to it's previous condition. If not, I feel sorry for his lack of genitalia.

Yup. It's been a little frustrating as her boyfriend has always hated her car, so they both ganged up on her to dump the car. He wants her to drive his truck, you need 2 step ladders to get up in to it, she wants her own vehicle which = independence and no ladder. He offered her a $1000 for the car outright which in reality is ~ FMV, but unlikely you will replace it for that as I paid $800 for it plus all of the work we have put in to it. I told her to stick to her guns and get an estimate. The shop she went to was really good, they said if she could find a fender and a hood they would paint and install for $600.

He's agreed to do what it takes to fix the car, and is even offering to help with the exhaust if there's money leftover. I thought the PnP painted parts was fair as the fender and hood were previously repaired, poorly, and I didn't expect OEM perfection on a 24 YO car. We'll see how this plays out...

S80 T6, S80 2.9, 855 AWD Turbo 5 speed, and a few other FWD'ers. Also a few VW /Audi 1.8T out there. A couple big BMWs and a K-jet 420 SEL. And an '82 244, camshaft gone.
