The 1800 is the only vintage volvo i haven't owned... It's tempting. One thing at a time I guess

Couple of VR's...

mmm 06 Atacama with a stick!!... http://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/edmo ... nFlag=true

Image

Rare 07 Magic Blue, too bad it's autotragic... http://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/calg ... nFlag=true

Both sellers went all out supplying 3 crappy pictures while looking for premium pricing. #-o I should sell some stocks and start hoarding VR's, prices don't seem to be dropping?

GASP! Don't see that blue too often. Purdy. Prices are definitely on the higher end, but the '07 does have pretty low mileage. The '06 though...yikes...maybe it would be worth 14k? Don't see these years too often. Do the later cars just command more money even though the mileage might be high? I think for enthusiasts, they are the better years.

I think it's exactly that, pricing on 06's and 07's is geared towards enthusiasts, the average buyer will never pay it. I think the 06 seller is trading on the Atacama and the stick which only appeals to enthusiasts, the 07 is definitely low mileage driven and the color is very rare considering how few 07's were even built let alone in Magic Blue. The 06 guy also has 2 sets of Pegs 18's and 17's so that's another grand or so. I'm guessing if Rabin sees the MB there's gonna be a commotion at his house...

The MB is definitely a gorgeous car... But - I'm so happy with the electric/kap now that I simply couldn't justify the hassles to replace mine. If I had it to over again however - I'd do the Magic Blue in a heartbeat...

If he was local, and any good, I'd think about using him to clear some backlog...

His name is curt. He is on the Edmonton Volvo club face book page.

I don't think he has any formal training. But I'm not sure. Certainly no factory training.

Darn thing looks better than mine... isn't that always the way. Find one, and a better one pops up. Bound to happen eventually. I have heard mixed reviews about the BW35 auto though.

I've got a perfectly good cylinder head sitting under my workbench if someone wants a project...
