C-tire

JB weld Kwik...blue and yellow tubes, sets in 4 mins, cures in 4 hours...good stuff for me so far!!!

i like the look of that alve cover, i think for me next year will be the "make the engine bay pretty" year

this year it's up the power, both audio and engine performance :supz:

ciao

so...took off the excess blue wire loom, and i must say i like it better

good call Matt, Dale, everyone...

put the PBR pads in...cant wait to break them in before the ttrack tom! yes i will be doing it properly...

put the painted Al hood on, it has some rock chip damage and a couple dents from something that happened while not in my possesion...like the previous owner of the car...so anyway the black hood looks not half bad IMO

skid plate back on, plastic but oh well i'll do the Al one later sometime

added another strobe light...gotta make one mod of a mirror i think to reflect the light a certain way...ohhh shiny...

added to dave barton charging moose decals to the fenders, right above the fender turn indicators...really like those!

and tom i get my trunk lid back...should complete the look of the car for now

see ya'll tom

ciao

so after the pathetic dyno runs as everyone knows my car falls into the catergory of FUBAR'D right now...

so i am not really sure what to do as i am pretty upset that my oil pan just constantly wants to leak...no matter what i do...in addition to the jb welded mess of whatever my oil return is...

i will probably not be going to three hills...and not driving this car again really until july...going to try to get the tranny swap done as well as fix whatever the hell is going on with my turbo...then holla at Matt for aid with the true trac...then go back to techmotion and figure out what boost i am really running etc and tune the thing properly

in preparation for this i looked into this here fora speedo idea

http://store.summitracing.com/partdetai ... toview=sku

comments? think it'll work?

ciao

That would be cool but theres a little bit of delay on the readings of those, I know on my gps there is at least. Cool idea though.

I think it's hot, Vik.

The tranny swap shouldn't take you very long once you get the old junk out. Clutch pedal will be the hardest part, I think.

While your car is off the road we'll tear into the TT - will take us an evening, but spread out over two evenings in order to get the right shims, provided we destroy the old ones accidentally. We might get lucky.

I think we're on the right track with the CBV, 'cause the compressor exhaust piping is so hot, likely from recirculating a portion of the compressor exhaust back to the intake over and over. That's killing power too, 'cause the IC more than likely has a hard time dealing with that extra heat, not to mention all the extra work being done by the engine just to get the turbo to move that much air.

Once all that's taken care of, you should be able to make some pretty respectable numbers. You'll probably want to look into a better turbo too - something like a 60/63 would bolt right in. Getting rid of that tiny turbine housing would be a good thing to do when you go with the M46 anyway.
