Hi - I'm the one with the ocean-blue wagon on wire-wheels you might have seen around town. I'm going to convert it to all-electric, meaning I want to sell the engine, 2" exhaust (with ceramic-coated header), 123 electronic distributor, rebuilt SU's and all the rest of the stuff, like coil and electric fuel pump, radiator, heater. Oh, and overdrive with the short-shaft. Heck, I'll even sell the battery. So, if you have a shell, this is for YOU.

The B20B engine comes from a 1974 140 Series, I believe. This is the one you can bore-out big-time and has a fuel-injected Head (ports blocked-off). I believe there is something special about the Bell-Housing, but I can't remember what it is.

When I bought the engine I had the head pulled off and there were 30-over pistons in it, the bore was good. I had the head shaved, ported and valves re-done. It goes great, doesn't burn any oil. I've probably put 20K miles on it (can check, but the speedo reads high, so will not be exact).

This will not happen immediately, but in a month or so. You are welcome to come-over and see the car - I am off work for 2 or 3 weeks, so my time is flexible.

Price? Geez, I am not sure. First of all, I'm looking for someone who wants it ALL. Engine and O/D are worth $1.5 - 2K right there; you can do the math on the rest. $2,500?

Send me an email at jim dot steil at geemail.

Jim

Hi. Well, I have had a few enquiries, but nobody who wants it all. This would be the best deal for somebody, but I am now open to selling everything separately. I'm thinking I might part with the rims (to get bigger ones) rad was new, alternator rebuilt, all the rest as-above.

I'm rebuilding another engine right now, and when that is done ("2 weeks"...) I will start on the Volvo, so if you want to come over and see it all running, now is your chance.
