Ok ..... Where are the problems coming from? It should be a fairly simple swap, even the wiring is simple. Where are you stuck?

stuck by not having the time...as i might be going outta town here before the end of the week...as well as the daily rain/hail isn't helping me either...nor the ability to raise the tranny up into the tunnel without it falling on me

i rushed to get things done for may long and that gave me too many headaches...i would rather just hold off and wait until i can do it slowly and make sure everything is running correct...

ciao

I have a flat enough and wide enough jack to use for a tranny jack in my garage, it's unlocked - help yourself.

yea... ok... the clutch fork is fucked or confusing or some shit..

its supposed to pull towards the engine ... how is that supposed to work? The pivot point is opposite to that ..

Anyone Saturday morning have any time to figure it out/make it work/tell vik/me what to do?

Vik, want to go get a clutch cable on Saturday?

You've got a hydraulic clutch, though, so the pivot is opposite to what works on a cable clutch. The clutch slave cylinder pushes the fork backwards, and the pivot reverses the action, pushing the TO bearing forwards.

Exactly what Matt said, as I mentioned last night are you sure you have the right bits? I wish I could give you a hand tonight or Saturday but I am also trying to get my list of last minute things done on the 740 before the trip.

I am sure we can have a group "fix Vik's car" right after we get back (wish we could have done it before.

yeah okay thats what it does

BUT

i dont see how the clutch slave "stays" in the mounting ring on the bellhousing, you know? if when pressured up the slave pushes, as you say and i agree with, then the slave is going to pop forwards to the front of the car, because there is nothing that i have which with prevent that, the slave cylinder just slides thru it's mount

if there's a group fix it of my car it wont be for awhile...i will be in camrose saturday, camrose/edmonton sunday...then i was told to be packed up and ready to go up north for monday and if i dont leave monday, i am forsure leaving tuesday

ciao
