Wow....I'm kinda stunned. Geoff, you're sellling it? Beautiful car. Are you gonna focus more on your 242 then?

Drugs are bad, you know? You should wait until you're back to your sense before selling it! :P

Haha.. I've never done drugs beleive it or not! Trust me... it is very hard to even talk about selling it since this volvo has only even been in my family.

That is a fairly large reason. I only want one 240... right now I have 3! I am losing interest in the 244 because it's more or less "finished". At this time in my life I want to try something different for awhile. So while the motor is still very fresh, body is decent and driveline is perfect I figure it's probably the best time to sell.
I've learnt alot from 240's.. now I want to try something else so I can learn some more!

Wow, does that ever sound familiar...

Oh well, you've been getting some really good comments on Tbricks - I doubt you'll sell it there but maybe. If not, I really hope you can get for it what you think is fair. $5500 isn't bad (for the buyer) at all, so I wouldn't move too far from that.

Sorry to see it go, but I know that money will get funneled right into the 242, which already looks like a nicer starting point! Where do you find rust-free Volvos in Saskatchewan, anyway? Dale & I will be coming out to drop off the journal... maybe we should bring a trailer?

Ok seriously, that picture has showed up again!!

I'm glad to hear my price isn't too out to lunch.. The money from this car, the Jetta I aquired for cheap which will be for sale.. and maybe my beater 242 are all being pooled towards a different daily driver. I can't have 5 cars at this time in my life, even if they all arn't worth much.

I just want to try out something else for awhile.. yes it could be non volvo, (although a C70 is on my list). But i'll probably import one from the states.

Where do I get all the rust free 240's in SK? I don't! My parents took great care of my 244.. and the 242 is from California. I'd rather pay $800 to ship a rust free 240 rather then spend $800 on body work (if your not doing it yourself that's hardly a dent). Importing a car was so easy that I plan to do it with my next one.

When are you guys coming out to SK? I'm very soon moving to Regina.. or I could drive out and meet you guys somewhere? We can work out something anyway.

**
I did get a PM from a lurker on Turbobricks with a sasktel email.. My stomach is in knots again. I guess I better sell it now before I never let go :( I should maybe start driving it to work while I still can.

Greg..

Well the buyer from Sask decided to buy a V8 converted 245.. so no go there. I've been looking at the car alot lately and am getting the classic second thoughts.. But it will still hold the title "for sale". Just not going to rush out and use a sales pitch to try and sell it. There are two other guys interested both halfway across the country, so needless to say less convinient sales.

With such high crime in Regina I'm thinking either the Jetta or beater 242 will end up being the car of choice for there.. and the 244 might sit out another winter under a cover. I was all pumped to car shop for my next daily driver.. but have actually lost interest. My life will change in way not geared towards cars.. so I'll use what I have for now. (still can tinker with the 242 on the side).

My next car will probably be from southern states again, so it's not exactly something I want to rush into anyway, for now not at all!

So that's the updated! For now it's mine, but it's still for sale. I drove it again today and other then the ping issue this car feels 20years newer then any of my other cars.. I think it's driving like that on purpose  damn volvos and their emotions.

Is it possible I could get some details on the car (and pictures if possible)? I'm not a member of turbobricks so I can't see the thread.

Sounds like it's a nice car.

I actually found pics. Not sure why it wouldn't let me view the thread. If I go to the forum through the main page it's no problem.
