If anyone is interested...

It's a '79. Gold with a tan interior. It runs but the engine is shot. Burns oil and clatters like crazy. Could be timing chain but I'm more inclined to think it's bearing(s). They're asking $799 but I'm sure you can talk them down.

Other than the engine, the car looks decent. There is a big rust patch on the A pillar but beyond that it's not terribly evident. The shocks and struts are tight and surprisingly stiff. Nothing special for sway bars although it looks like it's sitting lower than stock. It's sitting on 14" steelies right now but there are 4 Corona wheels with tires in the trunk along with a bunch of extra weight...about 4 alternators, starters and other stuff. It's possible that's why it looks like it's sitting so low...The interior is reasonable but could use a good cleaning. The drivers seat has a cover and under the cover it looks well worn. Has all the correct interior bits. Missing a couple of the Bertone badges from the fenders.

What did mssr's Thomas do with that Bertone they had? It was gold, wasn't it?

That car, my friend, was my first Volvo. Way back in 1980 I owned a pretty much perfect 1978 Bertone...

Don't be talkin' all crazy and stuff...

Fair enough, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think my 945T is fairly ugly to be honest.
I haven't bought an x-ratty...
