I've had a problem with my brakes, fluid is leaking from the front right caliper at the lower fitting. I have decided that it is time to do the mazda swap but I need the two distribution plugs for that. Valentine can get them in but they have to order them in, and I don't really have a way to get to work. If anyone has two plugs please let me know by calling me at (403) 613-9096.

For the distribution block, correct?
Sorry to go OT here, but last I looked at my mazda junk at home, it had only one line feeding the caliper. I figure I'll re-arrange the circuits to be conventional front/rear in my 240 on the junction block. Can one accomplish that by simply plugging one of the ports on the junction block for the front calipers?

You cannot go front/rear with a diagonal split master cylinder. The 240's MC works just like a diagonal one, which will not allow different volumes of fluid pumped into the two circuits, necessary if you've got bigger (or more) pistons on the front.

Hm, ya, it appears that I'm a moron. How bad is no vacuum servo assist on the 122? Dual master cylinders with a balance bar would let me run a front/rear split + hydraulic hand brake, but I do like my simple 240 power brakes and also happen to like the dual diagonal circuit layout.
Did you just run a single diagonal circuit setup on your R-braked car Matt?

Edit:
My 940 is just front/rear last I looked. I had the insides of the rear calipers seize last winter, which appears to have damaged the rear circuit on the MC. The fluid is changed fairly regularly, just those bastard inside pistons froze. Replaced the offending calipers on the back and the car has all newish/working calipers now and bled it very carefully. Now all is well, but the MC is a bit soggy and the rear circuit of the MC seems to fade out like it is failing (front brakes hold though). Oh well...new lines and MC are here...what a POS car. I had all of zero brake issues on my 245. Be thankful you don't have a granny series with their nasty brakes, Andy.

The 122 is fine with no vacuum assist...It will be even better this summer...

I like the sound of this! I can only hope I have my 242DLT (242GLTi sans turbo on a diet) will be ready.
Might just sell my skinny 240 booster and buy 2z master cylinders when it comes time to do the brakes besides 240 brakes.

I plan on the dual MC/balance bar setup for my 242 as well.

I ran diagonals on the R brakes 'cause it's a 240.

ABS cars have a single circuit going to the rear, because the rear is one channel. I'm not sure about the ABS MC as to whether or not it's a split MC or otherwise. I think the MC is split, like a F/R MC would be.

Update, I found some plugs but the freaking m12x1.25x40mm bolts are killing me, I am having a lot of trouble finding these in the city. I am going out of town for the weekend though so I am going to send Tara to ask them at Calgary fastener. Does anyone know where else to try?

If you go to Calgary Tool & Fastener, don't go to the one on 42nd. Instead go to the one in Foothills Industrial - somewhere around 72nd ave and Barlow, off Barlow a block or two. Triad fastener has almost always been the score, bolt supply house sometimes helps as well.

They're right across from Geinow on 40th St. SE. Address is Bay M, 7139 - 40 Street SE but the store faces 70th Ave...

So it appears as though I can't run virgo's on these brakes, I made a 5mm spacer for the wheels like said but the calipers are just too big for the wheel. I am wondering if anyone has some spare draco's or some 16 inch wheels that I could borrow or buy, or maybe use now and buy later. Please help me out, I miss my car
