anyone have an old .42/.48 (the little shitty one) lying around?

Im giving my buddy my old .42/.48 off my red volvo, for a twin turbo smallblock junkyard build.

I'm sure he'll give you 20 bucks for it or something?

The wheel doesn't need to be changed, Andy, unless yours is damaged. Both .48 and .63 housings fit the same wheel. What do you want a .48 for anyway? The .63 flows SO much better.

Raz, I may be able to help you out, though if I don't know if I've got a really good cartridge. Do you need the 50 trim or the 45 trim compressor?

Junkyard build, its going on a 5L Chev, so, it doesn't have to be good or perfect... whatever you got.

We all want the same thing, Andy - to spool quicker at the bottom end and to flow better at the top end. You can really feel the difference at the top end when switching between the two housings... The .63 will let you spin well past 6000 but the .48 seems to taper off above 5000 RPM.

Your call. The B21FT doesn't spool a turbo all that well no matter what, unless you leave the T cam in place and you open the exhaust right up. The .48 will make full boost at around 2000 RPM, which I suppose is pretty low, but it makes for a 2500-5000 RPM motor. RPM = horsepower, right?

true, rpm = horsepower....but I would like a little bit of punch off the line. Right now pretty much any turbo will do, ras just gave me the one from his old car so i'll give it a shot.
